[Wireless Room Temperature Monitoring System] Enclosure for wireless temperature sensor 3D Modeling with 123D Design

Now that the components are all designed in 3D i can try an design the enclosure.

I tried to take into account the way the elements are going together, how the cables are connecting the components and all. I am not even sure this could be 3D printed. Here is what i intend to send for printing :

What do you think ? Any suggestions ?

  1. You should have slits on either side so that you can have some airflow in the device. This way you won't get higher temperature readings if the device has been on for days.

  2. Hi Rusty, where would you put the openings exactly ? I thought of that and couldnt really think of something smart. Any suggestion ?

    1. Sure, I still have it.

But it is actually full of issues especially if you plan to have that printed with a simple PLA 3D printer. The issue is that there are many small pieces that are below some other and that are therefore in the way of support material...

I would suggest that you tweak the design a little bit as this is not the best.

The rest (screws, closing system ...) is fine.

How do you want me to send you the STL ? Do you have an email address ?
